The 10 year anniversary of Midtown Baptist Temple as a church plant is coming up. In these ten years we have watched God do amazing things. Over the years we have seen many lives changed, many disciples made. We have seen many young children grow into adulthood and continue to follow Christ. We have witnessed God grow the congregation to the point where new church plants have happened naturally and with joy.

Kendal Anderson is a leader in C&YA, ministers in the prison ministry and is an active discipler. Kendal’s testimony is a huge encouragement to our fellowship, particularly how God’s word has changed his life. He shares his testimony of how the process of discipleship impacted him.
Pastor Kenny Morgan leads the Discipleship Ministry at Midtown Baptist Temple, which is a vital ministry that focuses on mentoring growing Christians. Kenny is also pastor of Life Fellowship, one of several growing ministry fellowships in our church. Kenny began pursuing Christ seriously as a young adult over twenty years ago. Kenny takes some time here to reflect on the things that he wishes he would have had a greater respect for as a young man.

Mom's Alzheimer's has been one of my greatest trials. Watching her slowly lose her memories has been heartbreaking. There were many Saturdays (years ago) that I cried all the way home, begging the Lord to heal her. Yet, even tho her mind slowly got worse and I lost "my mom", there have been so many things the Lord has taught me...

With my senior year coming up my first real girlfriend was moving back to Germany, and I thought my world was ending. I had already participated in some recreational drugs however i started seeking out drugs and just that lifestyle in general in order to compensate for what I felt was my heart being torn out. And that's when God interrupted my life...
